Well that's Summer 2009 over - did we miss it?
Here at Bead Towers, we've been working so hard we hardly had time to take in all the barbecues that were promised, but we did have time to develop some new work through our Small Business Makeover Scheme, so if you have a minute, take a look in our client file and see if you're inspired to start something new yourself.
What's happening in our world? We're taking in some great films such as Last Chance Harvey, Vicky Christina Barcelona, and Life Before Coco, and we have decidedly mixed feelings about The Time Traveler's Wife and In the Loop.
So what is happening in this country for Small Businesses? As a Small Business with responsibility for may others out there, why does this country not recognise the commitment and significance of Britain's SME enterprise, and support it properly? beats us. So all you ministers with any interest in keeping the SME economy alive, and all you bank managers, councils with responsibility for traffic and parking, business landlords - take another look at your working day and ask yourselves - How can I make the dynamic, vital and currently greatly challenged world of the small business manager better and more successful. Go on - we dare you.
So what do we love about Autumn? log fires, red wine, the smell of cold country air, the thrill of the back-to-work-after-the-holidays feeling, the Booker Prize, new schedule Saturday night TV, fabulous coats, and the distant promise of Christmas. What's on your list? You tell us.
It's Autumn at BeadZone - things we love about autumn, leaves turning, the smel of woodsmoke, red wine in the evenings, and a new sort of creative thinking about what's been happening over the summer and all the things we need to take us into the winter and into next year. We've been to Key West, we've been to Miami, where one of us caught a shark (yup, a real one) (of course we put it back). We went sailing in the Greek islands, (sorry, owner of expensive yacht in Poros harbour). We've seen Amazing Grace (amazing film) and Tell No-One (now on DVD - a must). We've been reading - Kiran Desai, Esther Freud. We would love to have seen Atonement, but so far, we've been too busy working on campaigns for Hattie Young Photography, El Parido, Tecno Pack, and a mystery project we're not allowed to talk about. Mail us if you've been doing anything fun, reading anything good, or just if you have nothing more important to do right now. In particular, you should call us if your advertising or marketing isn't making you feel fabulous.
